How to Submit Films:

Note: Please be sure to read the rules & terms before submitting your work. All film submissions will be entered via our Film Freeway page. If your film is selected, we will request a copy of your film as an H.264.mov file. Please send any questions to visions7programming@gmail.com.

  1. Create a Film Freeway account here
  2. Add your project to your account and fill out any information presented to you.
  3. Click “Save Project.”
  4. Add a digital screener option by entering a password-protected Vimeo link.
  5. Find us on Film Freeway here
  6. Submit your film.
  7. Complete all of the information and submit this form: here

How to Submit Papers:

Note: Please be sure to read the rules & terms before submitting your work. If your abstract is selected, we will ask for the complete paper. If your paper is selected, you will be asked to present your work at our event. Please send any questions to visions7programming@gmail.com.

Rules & Terms:

Films:

  1. Film submissions are open to all undergraduate students whose films are completed by an undergraduate key crew (Director, Producer, Cinematographer, Editor, Screenwriter).
  2. Films can be no longer than 25 minutes.
  3. Films must be completed between January 2014 and January 2017. Works-in-progress or rough-cuts will not be accepted.
  4. All films must be in English or have English subtitles. Non-subtitled films will not be considered.
  5. For your film to be considered, please send proof of your Student Identification Card to the Programming Director, Carly Dawson, at visions7programming@gmail.com.
  6. For your film to be considered, please visit and complete the form
  7. All films must be submitted as a password-protected Vimeo link.
  8. By submitting a film, the applicant states that he/she is authorized to submit the film as its Maker or an Agent of the Maker.
  9. The applicant agrees that their materials submitted will not be returned.
  10. The applicant agrees to allow Visions Film Festival & Conference to use the applicant’s name and any press materials, including stills/clips of the film, for festival promotion.
  11. By submitting a film, the applicant agrees to all of the above rules and terms for film submissions.

Presentation Proposals:

  1. To submit a presentation proposal, please visit and complete the form
  2. Presentation proposals are open to all undergraduate students whose abstracts are completed by an undergraduate student.
  3. Papers must be completed between January 2014 and January 2017. Works-in-progress will not be accepted.
  4. All papers must meet MLA guidelines.
  5. For your presentation proposal to be considered, please send proof of your Student Identification Card to the Programming Director, Carly Dawson, at visions7programming@gmail.com.
  6. By submitting a presentation proposal, the applicant states that they are the author of the work, and that any contributor(s) to the work has been cited.
  7. The applicant agrees that their materials submitted will not be returned.
  8. The applicant agrees to allow Visions Film Festival & Conference to use the applicant’s name and any press materials, including presentation excerpts, for festival promotion.
  9. By submitting a presentation proposal, the applicant is agreeing to all of the above rules and terms for presentation proposal submissions.
